ARStain
Create a drawing with AR
Choose a Bird or Car, position it in augmented reality, then switch to Draw and make your picture.
What is ARStain?
ARStain lets you choose a Bird or Car in augmented reality, use a Bird sketch and color reference, and save your own drawing.
Create together
ARStain is a creative AR drawing experience for children and their parents. Children can use the sketch as a drawing guide and the colorful AR Bird as a reference. Parents can help, explore the AR scene, and create together with them.
ARStain
How to use ARStain
Start in AR
ARStain opens a live camera view and places a Bird or Car in it. This view helps you look at and position the reference; the camera image is not saved with your drawing.
Choose
Tap the tortoise button at the top left. Choose Birds or Cars, then select an object. Hummingbird and all Cars are free. Nine other Birds need the one-time Premium unlock.
Discover the sketch
A selected Bird has two associated images, initially aligned: a color Bird and its sketch. Drag the COLOR Bird aside to reveal the sketch underneath. The sketch guides your drawing; the color Bird helps you check colors and details.
Position
In AR, move a Bird with one finger and pinch with two fingers to resize it. Cars support moving, resizing, and rotation.
Draw
Tap the pencil, the second button from the left, to enter Draw mode. Draw with your finger.
Look, draw, check, continue
Return to AR whenever you want to check the sketch or color Bird, then go back to Draw and continue the same drawing.
Save
When ready, tap Save. ARStain adds only your drawing to Photos. The live camera image and AR scene are not included. Photos permission is requested when Save needs it.
Premium
Some Birds require a one-time Premium purchase. If you bought Premium before, tap a locked Premium Bird, then choose Restore Purchases in the Premium purchase dialog. This checks your previous purchase without buying again.

How do I move or resize a Bird?
In AR, drag the Bird with one finger and pinch with two fingers to resize it.

What does Save store?

Why does ARStain need Camera access?
The camera supplies the live view for the AR reference. ARStain does not upload that view to a developer server.

It requests permission to add your drawing only when you save. It does not browse your photo library.
